SOLDERING IRON TS80 VS TS100 PORTABLE

At some point I'll probably grab a TS100 anyway just for the field portability of it, but right now I'm just looking for a bench station. It just seems a bit more 'together' and rugged than a TS100/80, but the latter is awfully popular and highly rated for its cost. And I like that it uses T12 tips like the 951. Now made of anodised aluminium rather than plastic, it also benefits from a more ergonomic grip that helps with soldering precision.

Improvements over the TS100 include a redesigned casing.

Like the original TS100, the TS80 is also a smart portable soldering iron, but with some new features and improvements. Seems like an improvement over the V2 models, although I don't know if it addresses ALL complaints. The TS80 Soldering Iron is the smaller brother of the hugely popular TS100. I was leaning toward a TS100 or TS80 iron, but I kinda like what I see in these new KSGER T12 V3.1S irons.

I'm not looking to spend the $$$ for a Hakko 951 or a Pace or JBC right now, so looking at the sub-$100 range. Portability isn't a hard requirement but it would be nice to have something easier to pick up and move around than the 888D. I've had a Hakko 888D station for years that works great for regular soldering jobs, but I've been wanting to augment with a fine pencil iron for more delicate work. Seeing the latest revision 3.1S of the STM32 T12 irons has me wondering about this so figured I'd ask.
